About
Author in situ
A creative writing teacher in college once told me he didn’t care what I wrote about, just as long as it was all lies.
Exactly the opposite of my Journalism prof who said we could tackle any news subject we wanted, just make sure we wrote the truth and nothing but.
So you can see the conundrum.
Lies or Truth? Made Up or Reality? I had to choose one.
I chose Made Up.
Why?
Way easier.
Tracking down sources, doing interviews, checking and re-checking facts… That’s a lot of hard work.
But just stare out the window and dream everything up?
Yeah, I can do that. And when I read that Joseph Conrad, William Faulkner and tons of famous novelists likened novels to dreams, I decided yeah I’m in.
So see you in my dreams…
Thanks for stopping by.
Peace!
